You can’t see PFAS. A certificate can.
The PFAS upgrade swaps the reverse osmosis unit behind your kitchen Mineral tap for a model whose independent certificate lists PFOA and PFOS reduction under NSF/ANSI 58. It treats your drinking and cooking water, not the whole house. It needs the Mineral tap, and is added to Whole Home + Mineral or Pro.

The honest case.
PFAS are long-lasting man-made chemicals. In June 2025 the NHMRC set new drinking water guideline values: PFOS 8 ng/L, PFHxS 30 ng/L, PFOA 200 ng/L and PFBS 1,000 ng/L (NHMRC).
City water in Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast is tested against those guidelines. This upgrade isn’t because your tap water fails. It’s for people who want certified reduction at the one tap they drink from, or whose lab test found PFAS.
Certification is the only claim worth trusting. NSF/ANSI 53 (carbon) and NSF/ANSI 58 (reverse osmosis) now cover PFAS reduction claims; the older NSF P473 protocol has been replaced by them (NSF).
Add our optional NATA-accredited lab panel, priced in your quote, for a definite answer.
Who it’s for
- Your lab panel detected PFAS at your tap
- You want PFAS reduction you can verify on a certificate
- You already want the Mineral tap for taste
- You’re on tank or bore water near a known PFAS investigation area (lab test first)
Three steps, fitted with your system.
- Certified ROYour Mineral tap’s RO unit is swapped for a model with PFOA and PFOS reduction listed on its NSF/ANSI 58 certificate.
- Minerals backThe remineralisation stage adds calcium and magnesium back for taste, as with every Mineral tap.
- Certificate with your quoteYour Water Specialist gives you the model’s certificate with your written quote, so you can check exactly what it’s listed to reduce.
Your proposal names the exact model and links its certificate listing so you can check it yourself.
What it doesn’t do.
- It treats the kitchen drinking tap only, not showers or the whole house.
- We only claim reduction of the PFAS compounds listed on the certificate. No filter removes “all PFAS”.
- Reverse osmosis sends some water to drain as it filters.
- It isn’t a health or medical product, and we don’t make health claims for it.
Priced in your quote after your free water test. Your Water Specialist gives you a fixed written quote, including any extra plumbing. Nothing is signed or paid on the day.
Care Plan. RO membrane and pre-filters replaced on the manufacturer’s schedule at Care Plan visits. Serviced under your Care Plan. The first 12 months are included with every system. After that it’s a low monthly fee, confirmed in your quote, and any extra servicing an add-on needs is shown as a fixed line in your quote before you accept. Cancel any time.

More in the help centre, or see how it fits with our whole-home systems.
Does reverse osmosis remove PFAS?
Reverse osmosis can reduce PFAS. The reliable way to know a specific unit does is its certificate: NSF/ANSI 58 covers PFOA and PFOS reduction claims for RO systems. We supply a model with those compounds listed.
Does my whole-home filter reduce PFAS?
We don’t claim it does. Our whole-home carbon stage is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine taste and odour, not for PFAS. PFAS reduction is at the kitchen drinking tap.
Is PFAS in Adelaide, Brisbane or Gold Coast tap water?
City supplies are tested against the 2025 NHMRC guideline values. A NATA-accredited lab test of your own tap is the only way to know your water. We can arrange one as an optional add to your free test, priced in your quote.
Can I get it without the Mineral tap?
The upgrade replaces the RO unit behind the Mineral tap, so it needs one. It’s included with Whole Home + Mineral or Pro, or available as an add-on to Whole Home.
What’s NSF P473?
An older NSF protocol for PFOA and PFOS reduction. NSF says it has been replaced by NSF/ANSI 53 and 58.
