Is my tap water safe to drink?
Yes. Australian city water is treated to meet the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. A filter deals with what happens after treatment: the chlorine you taste and breathe in the shower, the scale that builds up in your appliances, and the grit picked up on the way to your house.
How much does whole-home water filtration cost?
Whole Home systems start from $3,990 installed, including GST, plumbing and the compliance certificate. Your exact price depends on your water and home, so your Water Specialist gives you a fixed written quote after your free in-home water test. Nothing is signed or paid on the day.
Is the water check really free?
Yes. 30 minutes, nine tests at your tap, with every result explained the same day. Your Water Specialist then gives you a written recommendation and a fixed quote, in person or by email. Nothing is signed or paid at your home.
What does a whole-home filter do?
It sits where water enters your home, usually beside the meter, and filters every tap, shower, bath and appliance. Our systems use a sediment stage and a carbon stage certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine taste and odour.
Who installs it?
A licensed plumber from our partner network in your city, who lodges a compliance certificate. Every product we supply is WaterMark certified.
What if I change my mind?
You have 10 business days after signing to cancel for any reason. We take no payment and do no work until then.
What does a whole house water filter remove?
A sediment stage traps rust, silt and grit; a carbon stage certified to NSF/ANSI 42 reduces chlorine taste and odour. Pro adds scale control or UV. We only claim reductions the product's certificate covers.
Where is it installed?
At the point of entry, usually on an outside wall near the meter, so every tap, shower and appliance gets filtered water. About half a day.
Will it lower my water pressure?
A correctly sized system has very little effect on pressure. We measure your flow at the check and size the housings to it.
How often do filters need changing?
Typically every 6–12 months for sediment and yearly for carbon. The Care Plan does it and photographs every used cartridge.
Whole house or under-sink?
An under-sink filter cleans one tap. Whole-house treats every tap, shower and bath. If chlorine in the shower or scale in your hot water system bothers you, you need whole-house.
Are there any extra costs?
Only if your plumbing needs extra work, such as relocating pipework. If so, your Water Specialist shows it as a fixed line in your written quote before you agree to anything.
What does the Care Plan include?
Filters changed on schedule, a yearly re-test, a photo of every used cartridge, and parts warranty while subscribed. The first 12 months are included with every system, then a low monthly fee, confirmed in your quote. Cancel any time.
What if I move house?
We can move your system for a fixed fee, or leave it with the house as a selling point.
Will someone try to sell me something at my house?
No. Our Water Specialists explain your results and answer questions. Nothing is signed or paid in your home. Your Water Specialist gives you a written quote, in person or by email, and you decide in your own time.
How long does it take?
About 30 minutes. We test at the kitchen tap and where the water enters your home, and photograph the meter area so the plumber can plan the install.
